Canyon Lake is a gorgeous water lover's delight to the east of San Antonio. With several communities right on its shores, the area is home to those who love being out on the water and exploring it by boat. Kayaking, canoeing, camping, fishing and skiing are just a few of resident's favorite activities when the weather is right. As a reservoir on the Guadalupe River in Texas Hill Country, it was formed by the Canyon Dam in Comal County.
