Eddins Elementary School Offers
Eddins Elementary is one of the great schools within the McKinney ISD. Eddins Elementary was named after our beloved Charles Thurman Eddins. He taught elementary students in McKinney for 38 years and was a well respected citizen of the city. The school has had a successful history with average five out of five star rankings from multiple school rating systems. They are also in the top 100 schools in Texas, with high marks on education quality, teacher interaction, and staff leadership. Most of their student scored at or above the national averages for standardized testing, which is a direct reflection of our teachers.
Eddins Elementary currently has around 700 students and 40 staff members and teachers. This gives an average student teacher ratio of 16, which is aligned with the national average of 15. In addition, the elementary offers a wide range of activities for your child to get involved in. They offer academic contests, Chorus, P.E., and fine arts classes.
