Summit High School Offers
One of the best features of Mansfield Summit High School is the number of teams and programs available for students. The faculty here believes that kids who are stimulated outside of the classroom learn more inside the classroom. Students at Mansfield Summit High School can join the football team, the cheerleading squad, the debate team, the literary club, the National Honor Society, the track team, the soccer team, and a number of other teams and clubs. Mansfield Summit High School offers so many different clubs and teams because they know that organized sports keep kids busy and involved, and it gives their parents a bigger reason to want to get involved.
Children who attend Mansfield Summit High School can take regular core classes and elective classes. Those who excel in their core classes are given the opportunity to take honors classes and advanced placement courses. These courses designed to challenge the most studious of children more than average classes, which are required for college credit. Those who take advanced placement courses and pass the national advanced placement exams receive college credit. Parents enjoy this because their children spend less time in college, and because these classes are free in high school rather than the standard expense of taking them in college.
