Mary Orr Intermediate School Offers
Mary Orr Intermediate School is for kids in the fifth and sixth grades. Here they will learn to transition from the immaturity they may have in elementary school into the maturity they will need for middle school. Part of that process is teaching them the value of teamwork, how to work well with others, and how to be responsible for their own personal grades as well as the well-being of their teammates. At Mary Orr Intermediate, kids can participate in extracurricular activities to learn this. They can take part in the chess club, the steppers club, the whiz kids club, student council, the spelling bee, and the geography bee.
School Academics and Parental Involvement
Academics are very important to the faculty at Mary Orr Intermediate School. For this reason, teachers provide a great education that teaches children all of the core classes they need to know. This includes mathematics, English, science, and social studies. Children will change classes to have different teachers throughout the day, and students will have the opportunity to choose elective classes that interest them. This helps them to gain insight into what subjects they enjoy so they can plan their high school schedules with ease.
