J.L. Boren Elementary School Offers
At J.L. Boren Elementary School, there are a number of programs for kids. There is special education and ESL for students who suffer learning disabilities or have difficultly retaining the information they are given. There is a pre-school language class, a speech therapist, and reading specialist on staff at J.L. Boren Elementary School so that kids have the best programs available to help them learn. Not all kids are the same, and some experience difficulty learning in the standard setting. These programs are designed to prevent kids with disabilities from becoming frustrated and adopting a dislike for school.Â
School Academics and Parental Involvement
Children at J.L. Boren Elementary School are taught how to do their basic skills. They learn English, reading, math, science, and social studies. They begin learning these subjects from the time they start Pre-K to the time they graduate the fourth grade and go onto intermediate school. The Parent/Teacher Association is designed to give parents the opportunity to be as involved as possible in their children’s school life, and to meet with teachers on a regular basis to help make the school a better place for students. Parental involvement is highly encouraged at J.L. Boren Elementary School. Kids want their parents involved, and their grades reflect that.Â
