Keller Independent School District
Newcomers to the area can be confident in looking at homes for sale if the quality of education is a factor. In Texas statewide standardized testing, known as (TAKS), schools see 95 plus percent of the tested students achieve proficiency standards. Occasionally, these percentages reach as high as 98-99%.
Recent accolades include those given to both Central and Keller High Schools by Newsweek in 2010. The weekly newsmagazine included both in their list of the top high schools in the nation. Large high schools participate at the 5-A level, advantageous to students who want to compete more in big-time athletics.
Liberty Elementary School
This K-4 grade school educates about 490 students. It is in Colleyville, within the Keller ISD. In the statewide TAKS testing, in which third and fourth graders participate, Liberty students did very well. In fact in all testing categories Liberty Elementary School saw 95-96% of the test takers meet or exceed proficiency requirements.
