The Keller Independent School District is located in parts of Colleyville, Haltom City, North Richland Hills, Fort Worth, Hurst, Watauga, Southlake, Westlake, as well as all of Keller City. It educates over 33,000 students and operates in a four tier education system which includes Elementary, Intermediate, Middle, and High schools. The district boasts one of the lowest school tax rates in Tarrant County, at $1.6080 per $100 appraisal value.Â
Betty Perot Elementary School believes in providing a safe and caring environment forÂ
children to learn in. They promote open communication and work closely with parents. Parental involvement is essential for a child’s learning. They have high expectations and foster responsibility and confidence in the students. Each month the school focuses on different character traits such as gratitude, courage, respect, perseverance, and others. They discipline students following the Love and Logic model.

The city has planned well for all the growth it has seen over the past several years and the school district is ranked ninth among the fastest growing districts in Texas.
