Wester Middle School Athletics and Extracurricular Activities 3
Students at Wester Middle School are eligible to try out and play for the football team, the track and field team, and the cheerleading squad. There are several other teams children can play for as well. Clubs include orchestra, theater, and the choir. Children can join the band as well. Taking part in any of these teams or sports will help children learn how to work as one as well as work as a team. The value of teamwork and assisting others to reach their common goal is the lesson these activities provide to the children at Wester Middle School. To participate in any sport or club, students must keep their grades up and behave accordingly.
The teachers and staff at Wester Middle School pride themselves on creating a learning environment that is both fun and informative. Their common belief is that children should learn in a positive environment where they are encouraged to ask questions and seek help when needed. Students at Wester Middle School are recognized throughout the district for their learning skills, test scores, and their outstanding behavior. School staff is on hand to help students create schedules that include their core learning classes as well as electives that satisfy their desire to learn something new. All core and elective classes are important for teaching children how to prepare for college.
