Sports and Extracurricular Activities at Frisco High School
The Frisco High Racoons are proud to wear their blue and gold and play ball, or cheer, or run track, or compete in the band. There are plenty of activities in which kids in all four grades who have all different interests can participate. There are junior varsity and varsity programs for the students at Frisco High School, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field, volleyball, and cheerleading. There is a school band, a fine arts program, a student body program, a drama club, and academic clubs that meet regularly. Students who wish to participate in sports or extracurricular programs must meet certain academic requirements.
Academics and Programs
At Frisco High School, there are a number of different classes available for students. Standard academic requirements must be met by all students, including core classes that students must pass to move up a grade and/or graduated. Additionally, for students who show advanced academic knowledge, there are honors classes and advanced placement classes. Based on test scores and grade point averages, students can participate in these more difficult classes and challenge themselves further. Frisco High School employs academic counselors whose job is to help students plan their schedule each year. Additionally, the same counselors are here to help students apply for college, earn community service credits, and discuss their transcripts. Â
