Wilma Fisher Elementary is located at 2500 Old Orchard Drive, in the city of Frisco, Texas. It is part of the Frisco Independent School District. Families that live in Meadowcreek and the Trails, east of Trails Parkway and south of Sagebrush, are within school boundaries and eligible for attendance. The school principal is Nancy Fatheree, and the assistant principal is Brenda Youngblood. Wilma Fisher Elementary holds the distinction of being rated an Exemplary School by the State of Texas. It is dedicated to its students and academic excellence. Students and faculty are encouraged to live the tenets of the Positive Pentium: be prompt, prepared, productive, polite and proud. Bullying is unacceptable, and teachers are expected to foster a safe learning environment for their students. Building a strong relationship with parents is important at Wilma Fisher Elementary. There is an active PTA, and they gladly welcome parent involvement. The school has a number of extra-curricular activities available after school and through the school district. Children can learn to swim at the Frisco ISD Natatorium, participate in clubs for drama, chess or sports and fifth graders are given the opportunity to attend Camp Pine Cove in October. Both parents and students love Wilma Fisher Elementary. The staff is highly qualified, and the curriculum is geared to help children excel in academics and in life.
