Denton County, is one of those large counties found in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex, offering a bevy of neighborhoods and a great deal of amenities from city to rural and even suburban and more. Master planned communities, luxury estates, and even more modest single family homes that offer great prices. Real estate in the area is as abundant as the communities found within, with a large population recorded in 2009 at nearly 629,000. The county seat of Denton County is an obvious Denton, named much like the county after John B. Denton, a preacher, soldier, and lawyer in the area.
Denton County was founded in 1846 and has since gained a great deal of cities and towns, including Corinth, Carrollton, Flower Mound, Lakewood Village, Little Elm, The Colony, and many, many more. There are also several cities that lie within other counties that still hold a section within Denton County, adding to the diversity of the great county. There is a great deal of recreation and employment in the area as well, with several different school districts, most of which have been ranked as exemplary, offering excellent education to students that join the community or are raised in the county.
