Aledo ISD is a large school district which consists of the following schools:
- Aledo High School - serves grades 9 - 12
- Aledo Middle School - serves grades 7 - 8
- McAnally Intermediate - serves grade 6
- Stuard Elementary - serves grades K - 5
- Vandagriff Elementary - serves grades K - 5
- Â Coder Elementary - serves grades Pre K - 5
In August of 2008, another elementary school will be opened by the name of McCall Elementary. McCall will also serve grades Pre K - 5.
AISD and the TAKS Test
In Texas, schools are ranked by a test taken yearly called the TAKS test. On a yearly basis, schools are ranked based upon the scores from each student. Schools are ranked exemplary, recognized, acceptable and unacceptable. For the 2006 - 2007 school year, the rankings were as follows:
- Aledo High - AcceptableÂ
- Aledo Middle - Acceptable
- McAnally Intermediate - Exemplary
- Stuard Intermediate - Exemplary
- Vandagriff Elementary - Exemplary
- Â Coder Elementary - Recognized
