Rowlett, TX is a city found in Dallas County offering a population of around 56,000. The area is known as a bedroom community, and still enjoys great amenities found within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area. The city is also located on the popular Lake Ray Hubbard. The city of Rowlett has been around since the 1800’s, with its first post office opening in 1880.
The town wasn’t always known as Rowlett, as it was once known as Bonham, Texas, yet was renamed after the man who owned property the Rowlett Creek once travelled through, Daniel Rowlett, although there were no ties between him and the town.
