New Braunfels lies just east of San Antonio in a wealthy area that is rapidly growing. Right now there are a few dozen residential communities that offer lush green walkways, charming homes and new homes that were built within the past three years. New Braunfels is a rapidly expanding area, but it's still very lush thanks to the Guadalupe River which runs through the city and several natural parks, like Cypress Bend to the east. Around these areas you find amazing waterfront homes that have special features inside, such as granite counter tops, hardwood floors, island kitchens, stainless steel appliances and huge custom tiled bathrooms. On the outside, these homes are stunning and provide a beautiful view of garden landscaping and stone exteriors that are very impressive to home buyers.
While this city isn't San Antonio, it's a smaller version of the same concept. A diverse, historical city with a river running through it that provides beautiful natural walking trails and camping grounds, as well as stunning views from local eateries and upscale shopping areas. The schools here are probably the biggest reason to move.
