Is H-E-B Making a Push Throughout Dallas?

Coming Soon - Image Credit: https:/www.flickr.com/photos/p22earl/2032041314

It's pretty easy to see that H-E-B is doing something in the North Texas area. They have been making land deals and have accumulated plenty of acres throughout the area.

The store has already been building stores in San Antonio and Houston. They are making a difference and redefining what shoppers consider a traditional Texas supermarket.

Potential Locations

The San Antonio-based grocer has been buying up locations throughout the DFW area for a few years now. Some of the locations they have scooped up include:

  • Allen
  • Dallas
  • Fort Worth...

Developments in North Texas Make Frisco Homes for Sale More Attractive

It seems that everything is really bigger and better in the Lone Star state, especially in North Texas. With a colossal project along the Dallas North Tollway, everything from billion-dollar sports centers to business complexes will rise from the area. A recent article discusses the improvements the project dubbed as “The Five Billion Mile” will bring.

The developments are the Dallas Cowboys project, which includes the team’s world headquarters and multi-use event center with other private development valued at $1 billion; and the mixed-use projects for Frisco Station, valued at $1.7 billion; Wade Park, valued at $2 billion; and The Gate, valued at $700 million. The EDC flier above details their locations along the toll way.

Among the four developments will be lots of office...

Luxury New Homes in Dallas: Surprising Hot Sell Despite the Price Tags

A common perception about selling real estate is that the pricier ones stay in the market longer than others. Sell a property for over $30 million, however, and that perception is shot to ribbons.

It's rather surreal, but Realtor.com has the data to prove it. Luxury homes selling for under $30 million tend to stay in the market for an average of 180 days, but those that go for over $30 million stay for only 139 days. The latter even sell faster than homes priced between $5 and $5.9 million.

To explain this phenomenon, it's important to first define what makes a luxury home.

Over a Million?

Most industry professionals consider real estate as luxury if it's priced over $1 million. Other realtors, however, define luxury homes as those belonging to the top 5 to 10 percent of real estate listings, price-wise. Either way, these...

Frisco Homes for Sale Enjoying Favorable Market Due to Job Growth

Population wise, Texas is the second largest state in the country. Recent developments are proving, however, that it may soon displace California from the top spot.

The Lone Star State welcomed more than 177,000 domestic and international newcomers in recent times, the largest growth recorded among the 15 fastest growing states. Overall, its population of over 26 million is still far from California's 38 million; but the latter had one of the slowest growth rates in 2013, due in no small part to over 49,000 domestic emigrations.

CNN correspondent Les Christy reports that, according to real estate brokers, two factors are fueling Texas' population boom: the availability of jobs and affordable housing.

Badly mauled by the recession in 2008, Texas' job market recovered in three years by adding more than 200,000 jobs, according to state comptroller Susan...

Why More Residents Choose to Live and Buy Homes for Sale in Frisco

Frisco, a Texan city that was designated “Tree City USA” in 2003, has another distinction to hold; it has been deemed one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. According to a CBS Local report dated March 22, 2014:

Three of the nation’s five fastest-growing cities — and seven of the top 15 — are located in the Lone Star State, new data from the Census Bureau shows. The Texas cities of San Marcos, Frisco and Cedar Park were No. 1, 2 and 4 in percentage population growth between 2012 and 2013, each growing by at least 5 percent in that time span.

Utah had two of the top five: South Jordan, at No. 3, and Lehi, at No. 5.

With a population growth rate of 6.5%, it may just be proof that more people simply find it more satisfying to live in Frisco.

A city for new...
