Leon Valley, Texas is in Bexar County which is 10 miles from the downtown San Antonio. It lies along Bandera Rd/State Highway 16 with a total area of about 3.5 sq mi. The city is often referred to as the “gateway to San Antonio’s leading attractions” because it has tourist attractions like Six Flags Fiesta and Sea World. The city is also just a few miles away from the SA International Airport and the South Texas Medical Center. The town used to be inhabited by farmers and ranchers in the 1800’s
Leon Valley is served by the Northside Independent School District. The city has a 3,000 sq feet Visitor Information Center which is divided into 3 1,000 sq foot rooms designed for trainings, small group sessions and conferences. It also has a 4,000 sq feet Community Center in Evers Rd which can host a multitude of events, activities, weddings, reunions, graduations and the likes. Also in Evers Rd is the city’s Conference Center which is a multipurpose venue designed for conferences, seminars and the likes. The city also boasts of two community pools, the City of Leon Valley Pool and the Forrest Oaks Community Pool.
