Hollywood Park, Texas is nestled in the northern suburb of San Antonio. It was incorporated in December of 1955 as a General Law city. The town currently has a diverse mix of population consisting of several professionals such as doctors, businessmen, teachers, active and retired military personnel, retirees, lawyers and young developing families. It currently has a population of about 3,000 residents (2010). The city’s Municipal Court is located within the City Hall.
The Hollywood Park Police Department is also located in the City Hall. The city also has a highly trained and dedicated Fire Department headed by Fire Chief John Butrico. The town also boasts of a dedicated and hardworking public works department who keeps it beautiful and clean. Hollywood Park has a baseball field in Mecca, a recreation Center, and a park. Voigt Park is in El Portal and offers amenities like a lighted pavilion, picnic area, swimming pool (during summer), tennis courts, and playground equipments. The Voigt Center which is the city’s recreational center is also located in Voigt Park, in El portal.
