" Texas de Brazil " an adventure you don't want to miss
Posted by Barbara Newton on Friday, May 21st, 2010 at 11:56am.Texas de Brazil located in downtown Fort Worth on Houston Street, is known to area residents as the place to dine, if you are out celebrating an occasion or just taking that special person out for the evening. If you are new to the Fort Worth area and want to get a great dining experience, this is the place you want to add to your list, after you are done, you can walk it off by checking out our popular downtown area and all it has to offer.
Mothers Day was my special occasion, my family all got together for this very memorable night out.
I have lived in the Fort Worth area for years but this was my first time dining there and now that I have seen what I have missed, I do plan on returning in the near future.
From the moment you enter the front door till you exit, you feel and are treated like royalty.
From the outside you would think it is just like any other restaurant but that taught quickly changes once you are inside.
There are 3 levels of open dining, over looking a round salad bar located in the center of the main floor stocked with 30 different items, everything a salad lover could possibly want.
After you are seated, the adventure starts, I did happen to know Robert the night manager so he seated us and took time out of his busy schedule to explain what we were about to experience and a little history of the restaurant, also what we needed to do to get all the different cuts of meat served each guest. Each person is given a little round disk, on one side it is red which you display when you have all you want and the other side is green so the servicers know to offer you more.
Each server is responsible for one of 15 different cuts of meat and they circle the restaurant serving you as much as you want. make sure you are hungry when you dine there.
I do need to mention that you are also given rolls that are so good that you have to tell yourself to back off or you will lack the room to enjoy the rest of the menu.
After you are so full and do not think you could eat another bite, the desert tray will appear, and believe me you do want to try at least one of their 10 choices. I did and told myself I could make up for it tomorrow.
Call first before you visit because it is a busy place and you do want to avoid any waiting time.
A Special Thank You to Robert from my family and myself, you made our visit a memory I will never forget.
