Posted by Michael Pannell on Monday, July 12th, 2010 at 9:00am.New Neighborhoods in Lantana - Republic Property Group announced today it has begun plans for the second phase of the Bandera neighborhood. The additional 120 lots will be sold to Highland homes and will be an extension of their 60' product currently being built in Bandera. Access to phase II of Bandera will be off of Lily. The 120 lots will be added in two phases (A and B), the first being Phase A with 60 lots.
In addition, Highland Homes will be building in the newest neighborhood planned for Lantana named Kendall. Kendall will be located off of Golf Club Drive and will be located east of the Crescent neighborhood. In order to access Kendall, a bridge will be built over Poindexter Branch Creek which will preserve the natural area adjacent to Crescent. Kendall will consist of 165 lots. Highland Homes plans to build their 50" product, similar to what is currently being builder in Bandera. As with Bandera Phase II, the construction of the Kendall lots will be split into two phases with Phase A consisting of approximately 85 lots. Both neighborhoods should be ready for homes sales in 2011.
Kendall and Bandera Phase II are the first neighborhoods in Lantana to border Copper Canyon Road. In order to ensure there is no direct pass-thru traffic off of Copper Canyon into Lantana, care has been taken to design the connection to Copper Canyon Road to inhibit traffic patterns into Lantana.

A lot of care must have been put into planning where the houses, bridges and streets were going to go. I'm sure all of the new construction is going add to the already beautiful look of the area.
