State unemployment rate reaches new low
Texas Real Estate News
Texas' unemployment rate dropped to 4.1 percent in February, a 30-year low. The Texas Workforce Commission credited bullish employers, who added a total of 13,500 jobs statewide, and 235,000 jobs during the past year. The seasonally adjusted 4.1 percent is well below the national average of 4.8 percent. "Our falling unemployment, coupled with this month's significant job gains, indicates the sustained health and vitality of the Texas economy," said newly appointed TWC Chairman Tom Pauken.
