More North Texas Student Housing
Denton Texas Real Estate
Students at both the University of North Texas and Texas Woman's University should have more housing options by fall 2009. That is the targeted completion date for Parkland Development Corp.’s Forum at Denton Station.
The 348-unit complex at Center Place Dr. and I-35 marks the Florida developer’s first foray into student housing, and company officials say it will be a flagship project.
At a cost of about $50 million, Denton Station will have a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom units. The fully furnished apartments will be rented by the bedroom. Greystar will manage the property.
The project is being built on 26 acres that Parkland purchased from locally based Lone Oak Residential Ltd. The Weitzman Group of Dallas represented Parkland in the transaction.
