Keller Texas City Everyone is talking about
Posted by Barbara Newton on Saturday, March 6th, 2010 at 11:01am.Keller Texas still continues to grow and now is one of the most sought after cities in North Texas. This once small town (1981 census 5,000 residents) now boosts a population of some 40,000 people.
Keller got its start mainly due to being on the rail line. The train started its run in 1881 and several villages (now called cities) sprung up all along that line. Keller was one of them and was named in honor of John C. Keller a Forman on the railroad.
The city has expanded now to the point that it now has 2 zip codes 76248 and 76244. It is also serviced by 2 of the most outstanding school districts in all North Texas. Keller ISD and Northwest ISD.
Over the last 10 or 15 years, developers have been the main reason for all of Keller's growth, and one of the largest and fastest growing communities is the Villages of Woodland Springs. This community is sought after by so many because of the diverse price ranges of homes, they range in price from the low 100,000 to over 300,000 and everyone living there gets to enjoy all the amenities that the community offers. Relaxing by one of the many pools or taking a brisk walk or jog on the many trails. The HOA also arranges lots of activities so anyone wishing can attend and this helps new residents meet their neighbors.
If you will be coming to the Fort Worth area, make sure you put Keller on your list, you won't be disappointed. It is centrally located and an easy commute to Downtown or the airport or just about any place in the Metroplex that you wish to go.
Come Enjoy
