The Oklahoma City-based company confirmed that it bought the Southcliff Shopping Center, at the southeast corner of Granbury Road and Interstate 20. The City of Fort Worth is keeping an eye on that property because it wants to see a park-and-ride train station built there for a rail line that is proposed to run from southwest Fort Worth to Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. According to the Tarrant Appraisal District, the entire Weingarten tract is about 12.75 acres.

The seasonally adjusted 4.1 percent is well below the national average of 4.8 percent. "Our falling unemployment, coupled with this month's significant job gains, indicates the sustained health and vitality of the Texas economy," said newly appointed TWC Chairman Tom Pauken.
